Technology Scotland recently caught up with our member, Neuranics,  for our Member Spotlight series. We  find out who Neuranics are, what they do, and much more! Take a look below and get to know them.

What does your organisation do?

Neuranics is pioneering the future of human-machine interaction with ultra-sensitive TMR magnetic sensing solutions.

Neuranics TMR Sensor

Founded as a joint spinout from the University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh, we develop patented sensors capable of detecting signals at the picoTesla level. By combining these sensors with custom integrated circuits and AI-enabled hardware and software, we deliver end-to-end solutions for wearables, digital health, and XR applications. See more about Neuranics here.

What is your organisation’s biggest achievement?

Our biggest achievement has been building a world-class team. From magnetic sensing and semiconductor design to AI, commercial, and operations, we’ve brought together exceptional talent that has allowed us to achieve rapid progress and international recognition. This team has enabled us to secure significant investment, form global partnerships, and move from research to real-world solutions in just a couple of years. With this momentum, we’re planning to double our workforce over the next 12 months as we scale up to meet growing global demand for our solutions.

We are preparing to launch our multi-channel MMG wristband in 2026.

Prototype of Neuranics MMG Wristband

Designed with advanced machine learning, it will enable highly accurate gesture recognition, unlocking new possibilities across XR, gaming, digital health, prosthetics, and beyond. This project represents years of research translated into a practical, wearable solution, and it marks a major step toward creating seamless, intuitive human-machine interfaces. For Neuranics, it’s not just about proving what our technology can do but about opening the door to entirely new ways for people to interact with the digital world.
