DEADLINE EXTENDED

Final call – submit by Friday 13th March to be included in the capability map launching end of March.

Technology Scotland is welcoming submissions from Scottish organisations wishing to be featured in the new capability map for Scotland’s Critical Technologies Supercluster.

About the capability map
For Scotland to compete globally in critical technologies, the ecosystem needs a clear and credible way to present its capabilities to the world. To support this, Technology Scotland is developing an interactive digital capability map as part of a wider suite of promotional activities under the Critical Technologies Supercluster initiative.

This capability map will be hosted on a newly developed website dedicated to Scotland’s Critical Technologies Supercluster which will showcase Scotland’s strengths across four critical technology areas, Semiconductors, Photonics, Quantum, and Sensing & Connectivity, to both national and international audiences.

The map will provide a clear overview of the organisations, expertise, and assets active within Scotland’s critical technology landscape. By bringing this information together in one place, it will help stakeholders understand current capabilities, identify potential collaborators, and support informed decision‑making across the ecosystem.

The platform is being designed to represent industry and academia on an equal footing. It will map individual research groups rather than universities as a whole, and include start‑ups, SMEs, large companies, and research institutes. Capabilities will be organised using clear and meaningful categories to ensure easy navigation.

Why your participation matters
• Stronger outward messaging for Scotland
• Better discovery and collaboration opportunities
• Enhanced supply-chain visibility
• Improved national competitiveness
