| 10th October | Photonics update meeting with officials from Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise | Regular monthly meeting to discuss photonics sector in Scotland and Photonics Scotland activities. |
| 11th October | BICOP Organising Committee meeting | Meeting to discuss invited speakers for upcoming BICOP conference taking place in London in December. |
| 11th October | Member Event – Technology Scotland and GrantTree | Partnered with our member, GrantTree to deliver webinar focussed on grant funding. |
| 12th October | Member Event – Technology Scotland and ForrestBrown | Partnered with our member, ForrestBrown, to deliver a breakfast briefing event focussed on innovation tax incentives. |
| 12 – 24 October | Department of Business and Trade incoming delegation discussions | Various meetings and discussion with DBT representatives about incoming delegation of visitors from Canada and Japan. |
| 17th October | IfM Engage Scottish Round Table event | Attended the IfM Engage round table event in Edinburgh to learn more about the outcomes of the project and the recommendations to be proposed as the outcomes. |
| 18th October | Meeting with representative from secpho | Meeting to discuss how the Scottish and Spanish clusters can work more closely together. |
| 23rd October | SFC Advanced Research Alliance Launch Event | Attended the SFC ARC launch event to support the projects, in particular QT ARC as part of the leadership team. |
| 25 – 26 October | SPIE Photonex | Exhibited at SPIE Photonex in Glasgow and took part in sessions including ED&I panel session. |
| 26th October | Innovate UK Semiconductor | Attended IUK workshop co-hosted with Photonex 2023. |
