1st – 2nd February SPIE Photonics West Attending Photonics West and exhibiting at the trade show on the UK Pavilion, sharing a stand with Chromacity.
7th February UK MaaS Groups Collaboration Meeting Attended meeting of UK and European MaaS groups to discuss opportunities for future knowledge exchange and collaboration.
8th February ECOC Local Organising Committee Attended meeting to discuss ECOC’23 which is being held in Glasgow in October 2023.
9th February Meeting with Graham Simpson, MSP Meeting with convenor of Cross Party Group on Sustainable Transport. Discussed the role of MaaS in meeting future transport ambitions.
13th February Meeting with SDI Met with representatives from SDI to discuss photonics and photonics in space and how the Scottish sector can be supported.
15th February Quantum Technology Special Interest Group This meeting gave members the opportunity to feedback on an advanced draft of the Quantum Technology Vision Paper.
21st February IET Engineering Policy Group Scotland Panel Meeting Attended meeting to discuss EPGS business.
21st February IET Sustainability, Net Zero and Resilience Event Attended event which took place at Holyrood which was attended by MSPs and Scottish Government representatives.
21st February IOP Scotland Quantum Event Attended IOP event exploring the future quantum landscape in Scotland.
22nd February MaaS Scotland Governance and Data Special Interest Group Regular Special Interest Group Meeting. Guest speaker – James Bullen, Transport for West Midlands.
23rd February ECOC Local Organising Committee Attended meeting to discuss ECOC’23 which is being held in Glasgow in October 2023.
23rd February Special Interest Group – Design for Compliance Launch of new Special Interest Group through Product Design Scotland Network.
24th February Photonics Skills Meeting Regular meeting with NMIS and industry partners to discuss future skills provision in photonics.
28th February Meeting of Opening up Photonics management team Met with representatives from IOP Scotland, University of Glasgow and Innovate UK KTN to discuss the Opening up Photonics initiative and plan next steps.
