The UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2025 took place at the Business Design Centre in London on 7th November. With over 110 exhibitors and more than 3000 attendees, showcasing technologies spanning quantum hardware, software, infrastructure, communications, sensing and imaging applications, and a full day of live demonstrations, expert panels, industry sessions, and networking, it truly reflected the UK momentum in this sector.
Technology Scotland hosted a stand at the exhibition to represent Scotland’s collective strength in the quantum sector, firmly rooted in our rich heritage in photonics and our capabilities in adjacent critical technologies including semiconductor, connectivity and sensing: a world leading cluster in the development and application of quantum technologies, Glentanglement®.

On 6th November, the Department of Business and Trade hosted an “Overview of Scotland Ecosystem” at the Scotland Office in London for more than 40 international incoming delegates, as part of UK Quantum Week. As part of the scene setting for this meeting, Alison McLeod, Director – Photonics Scotland, presented an overview of Scotland’s Capability & the Critical Technologies Supercluster.
The date for next year’s UK National Quantum Showcase has not yet been announced, but it has been a regular fixture in the November calendar over recent years: it will no doubt continue in 2026 as a catalyst for future opportunities and collaborations, in a sector where Scotland is leading the way.
