12th April Photonics update meeting with officials from Scottish Enterprise Regular monthly meeting to discuss photonics sector in Scotland and Photonics Scotland activities.
13th April UK Photonics Landscape Meeting with representatives from PLG to discuss the UK Photonics Landscape.
17th April German delegation visit discussion Met with representative from Trade Horizon to discuss delegation visit from Germany which is taking place in May.
18th April SME Masterclass: Developing young talent Event delivered in partnership with CeeD focussed on the recruitment and retainment of young talent.
18th April Meeting of Opening up Photonics management team Met with representatives from University of Glasgow and Innovate UK KTN to discuss the Opening up Photonics initiative and plan next steps.
19th April Trade mission discussions Meeting with representatives from DBT to discuss a planned trade mission to Scotland focused on photonics and quantum.
20th April ECOC Local Organising Committee Attended meeting to discuss ECOC’23 which is being held in Glasgow in October 2023.
20th April BASTEC Seminar Attended seminar delivered by the British Army exploring the opportunity to translate current innovation/technology into the military sector.
20th April Photonics Scotland Social Evening and launch of QT Vision Paper Hosted 3rd Photonics Scotland networking evening, with over 50 representatives from across the sector, and representatives from Scottish Government including the Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade.
25th April 10th Meeting of the Photonics for Space Special Interest Group Hosted by Leonardo, attendees heard about the organisation’s history, their capabilities in photonics, space related activities and environmental testing facilities.
26th April Deloitte Sustainable Transport Summit Attended event hosted by Deloitte which discussed future opportunities in sustainable travel.
26th & 27th April Photonics21 Annual meetings Attended P21 Board of Stakeholders meeting and Annual Partnership meeting representing the Scottish photonics sector.
