About SPRINT

SPRINT is a Scotland-wide, employer-led talent pipeline connecting local people with careers in Quantum, Cyber, Semiconductors and Advanced Connectivity Technologies. By combining continuous employer engagement, an AI-driven recruitment platform and coordinated mobilisation of academic talent, SPRINT is designed to convert industry demand into qualified hires through structured recruitment sprints.

The project is led by QURECA, in partnership with Technology Scotland, with support from Innovate UK.

All workshops will be held at the Technology & Innovation Centre, 99 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RD. Lunch and networking will be provided before or after each session, depending on the workshop schedule.

Roundtable 1 – Tuesday 1st September, 13:00-16:00 – Photonics and Quantum Technologies

This roundtable will focus on photonics and quantum technologies. Together, participants will:

· Co-create employer-validated role families for photonics and quantum technologies.

· Define the core technical, professional and transferable skills required for priority roles.

· Support the development of a shared role taxonomy and sector-wide skills matrix.

· Identify common skills gaps and the upskilling pathways needed to help candidates become job-ready, including opportunities to co-create targeted upskilling courses and modules with Scottish universities through the SPRINT platform.

· Help build a coordinated talent pipeline that better connects graduates, researchers and job seekers with employers across Scotland.
