8th February | Meeting of NTS2 Business Group | The Business Group is one of three key groups which form the NTS2 Forum. The purpose of the Business Group is for representatives from across the sector to participate by sharing experience, highlighting opportunities and challenges and sharing their expertise to facilitate NTS2 delivery. |
8th & 9th February | Science|Business Annual Network Conference ‘Horizon Europe: The first assessment’ | Attended online meeting reviewing the first 12 months of the Horizon Europe funding programme. |
9th February | ENABLE Advisory Board Meeting | MaaS Scotland sits on Advisory Board for the ENABLE MaaS project led by Tactran. |
10th February | Institute of Physics Technical Skills Roundtable | Attended meeting to discuss the future of technical skills and the skills challenge faced in physics. |
14th & 15th February | Telecommunications, Optics and Photonics (TOP) Conference. | Attended the inaugural TOP Conference in London with representatives from the optical communications industry. |
16th February | Torbay Hi-Tech Cluster Meeting | Invited to regular cluster meeting to present Photonics Scotland, our members and investigate potential collaboration routes for the future. |
16th February | MaaS Scotland User Engagement Special Interest Group | Delivered 4th meeting of User Engagement SIG. Participants heard updates from Solent and GO-HI Maas projects. |
21st February | Meeting of Photonics Scotland Steering Board | Quarterly meeting of network Steering Board |
21st February | Horizon Europe: Missions and Partnerships | Attended Scotland Europa information session on the Missions and Partnerships within Horizon Europe |
22nd February | Technology Scotland workshop – An introduction to DASA | Delivered workshop in partnership with the Defence and Security Accelerator to highlight opportunities available. |
22nd February | Semiconductor Policy Roundtable – hosted by UK Government Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office | Attended Semiconductor Policy Roundtable hosted by FCDO. Discussed trends in the semiconductor industry, opportunities for the UK and how Government could best support these. |
23rd February | Attended CAN DO Innovation Summit | Leading Innovation Summit for Scottish business. |
23rd February | Meeting with representatives from IOP Scotland, SUPA, and Scottish Government | Discussions to progress activities regarding photonics and quantum technology outreach to secondary school teachers and pupils. |
24th February | Attended launch of Innovate UK KTN Design in Innovation Network | Technology Scotland sits on the Advisory Board of this new, exciting initiative from Innovate UK KTN. |
28th February | Meeting with representatives from Nexus Events and Photonics Leadership Group | Meeting to discuss organisation and connections for ECOC’23 which will be held in Glasgow in October 2023. |
