The Technology Scotland Awards are open to any individual or organisation working or operating in the enabling technology sector in Scotland.


Categories

Technology Scotland Rising Star Award – awarded to an individual 30 or under who has made significant positive impact within their organisation over the last year.

Requirements

    • Recipient must be 30 or under at time of awards (13th November 2025).
    • Nominees can work within either industry and/or academic settings.
    • Nominees must work primarily in Scotland.
    • Nominees may work within any function within their organisation.

Technology Scotland Excellence in Innovation Award – awarded to an organisation which can evidence the development of a truly innovative and world leading technology or product.

Requirements

  • Nominated organisations must have operations within Scotland.
  • Where an organisation may have multiple operations in multiple countries, evidence must be presented to show that their Scottish operations/staff had significant impact on the product/technology developed.
  • While the product/technology may have been in development for some time, the main impacts detailed in the submission must have taken place within the timeframe of 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2025.

Technology Scotland International Reach Award – awarded to the organisation which has made most significant impact on the global stage. This could be development of new market opportunities, expansion of capabilities outside of Scotland, collaboration with international partners or innovative international marketing approaches.

Requirements

  • Nominated organisations must have operations within Scotland.
  • Where an organisation has additional operations outside of Scotland, evidence must be presented to show that their Scottish operations/staff had significant contribution.
  • Activities in this category can be diverse and may include (but are not limited to) – development of new market opportunities, expansion of capabilities outside of Scotland, collaboration with international partners or innovative international marketing approaches.
  • Submissions should cover activities and impacts over the period 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2025.

Technology Scotland Collaboration Award – awarded to a consortium of Scottish organisations (at least two), which can evidence the power of local collaboration towards the successful delivery of a key project or product in the enabling technology sector.

Requirements

  • Submissions in this category must show evidence of successful collaboration between at least two Scottish organisations.
  • Collaborators from outside of Scotland can be included in the submission but where this is the case, the impact of Scottish partners must be evidenced.
  • Collaboration partners may come from industry, academia, public sector or third sector. However, the collaboration must show impact in the enabling technologies sector.
  • Submissions should cover activities and impacts over the period 1st October 2023 to 30th September 2025.

Technology Scotland Special Recognition Award – awarded to an individual who has demonstrated significant positive impact for our sector over the last 10 years. This could be through their organisation or via their own personal profile.

Requirements

  • Submissions are sought for any individual who has demonstrated significant positive impact for the wider enabling technology sector.
  • Submissions may evidence impact at an organisational level but wider impact, including internationally, is welcomed.
