Opening Up Photonics: Fostering Innovation Through Diversity & Inclusion
A collaboration between University of Glasgow, Technology Scotland, the KTN and Institute of Physics Scotland
In October 2018 we were delighted to welcome around 50 professionals from Scotland’s photonics community to a new initiative focusing on increasing diversity in the sector. Following the panel discussions on the day, we shared a survey to participants and are now delighted to be able to share the feedback report. We hope everyone will agree that it was an incredibly productive day and it has been so encouraging to read so many positive and constructive comments regarding all aspects of the first OUP event: from format, to content, panel members, to speakers. All of this feedback has been gratefully taken on board, in order to ensure that the next Opening Up Photonics event is as relevant, productive and successful as possible.
