We’re partnering with Heriot-Watt University to bring you a practical in-person event, focused on developing skills and talent for Scotland’s rapidly evolving Critical Technologies sector.
The Critical Technologies Supercluster has ambitions to grow to £10bn in revenues by 2035. To support this growth target, it is estimated that the sector will need to create at least an additional 6,600 highly-skilled jobs. This level of job creation will need the sector to explore all available talent pathways – including apprenticeships.
Scotland’s talent pool is a significant part of our value proposition when attracting foreign direct investment, setting the country apart from many competitor regions. And that is another key reason why we need to continue to support and invest in our talent pipeline.
